Skypod Images has performed two landmark firsts with the U of A.

1st - We were approved by the FAA to fly our drones inside a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) during a NCAA football game.

2nd - We flew inside the Arizona Stadium during the 2022 graduation using an FAA-approved Category 1 drone which allowed us to temporalry fly over people.

Pilots fly with FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification Licenses. All drones are registered by the FAA. Though FAA does not require it, we maintain a one-million-dollar injury and property liability insurance policy specifically tailored for commercial UAV operations.

While we specialized in flying for the University of Arizona, we have also completed over 400 jobs throughout the Southwest.

About Dean

Dean has been married to his wife, Anissa for 19 years and has an adult step-son whom he's had the pleasure of teaching aerial photography and video editing.

He has lived in Tucson for over 40 years working mostly as a Bank Executive and also attended the University of Arizona!

As veteran owned, he served nine years in the USAF with one tour in Desert Storm.
